How to Find Your Signature Scent

An exploration into personal olfactory resonance, skin chemistry, and seasonal light.

How to Find Your Signature Scent

A signature scent is rarely found by chasing what's popular — it's found by paying attention to what a fragrance does on your own skin, in your own light, on an ordinary Tuesday.

Skin chemistry changes how a formula reads. The same bottle of Neroli can smell brighter on drier skin and rounder on oilier skin, which is why we always recommend testing on the body rather than paper alone. Give a scent at least twenty minutes before judging it — the top notes are not the whole story.

Consider the season and the room you spend most time in. A crisp citrus like Neroli suits mornings and warmer months; a rose like Moroccan Rose settles beautifully into cooler evenings and quieter, indoor hours.

Most of all, choose a scent that feels like a companion rather than a costume. If it still feels honest after a week of wear, you've likely found something worth keeping.
